Celebrating Accreditation as a Master Certified Coach

Globally, there are over 20,000 coaches accredited by the International Coach Federation.  There are three levels of accreditation: Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Master Certified Coach (MCC).

In Canada there are 59 coaches with the MCC designation and I became one of them in March 2017! I am very proud of this accomplishment as it represents 15 years of practice and learning.

The credentialing process is quite strenuous and takes about a year to complete from the tiMaster Certified Coachme the training and coaching hours have been achieved. Most coaches will try twice as the standards are high for the demonstration portion. I am pleased to say that I passed on my first try! Here is what I had to establish:

  • 200 hours of coach specific training
  • 10 hours of mentor coaching
  • 2500 hours of coaching
  • 2 audio recordings as well as written transcripts
  • passing the Coach Knowledge Assessment exam

So what’s next? My goal over the next few years is to continue my own development as a Coach, with an emphasis on the mind/body connection, neuroscience and body language as I think these will be assets to my clients.

My contribution to the well-being of the world is about helping leaders increase their sense of self and impact awareness. The more we know and love about ourselves the easier it is to value the gifts of others – happy people produce better results!
