Globally, there are over 20,000 coaches accredited by the International Coach Federation. There are three levels of accreditation: Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Master Certified Coach (MCC).
In Canada there are 59 coaches with the MCC designation and I became one of them in March 2017! I am very proud of this accomplishment as it represents 15 years of practice and learning.
The credentialing process is quite strenuous and takes about a year to complete from the time the training and coaching hours have been achieved. Most coaches will try twice as the standards are high for the demonstration portion. I am pleased to say that I passed on my first try! Here is what I had to establish:
So what’s next? My goal over the next few years is to continue my own development as a Coach, with an emphasis on the mind/body connection, neuroscience and body language as I think these will be assets to my clients.
